The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes comes from vines aged between 45 and 50 years. It is far more expressive on the nose than the Les Grands Champs with yellow flowers and citrus peel, hints of honeysuckle developing with aeration. A fine line of acidity underpins the palate, while the finish errs toward a more neutral style that is almost Puligny-like. This is a very commendable wine. Drink now-2018+ - Neal Martin
