The second of two exceptional Chardonnays from Lewis, this one is perhaps a bit less forward in juicy, inviting character currently, but it has equal depth as its mate below and only awaits a bit of patience to show itself fully. Its tart apple and crème brûlée first aromas are backed up by hints of lemon zest and wet stones. It is suitably and unmistakably full in body and is equally suitably and unmistakably balanced across the palate. Its tight backend is part and parcel of its style, and while its mate might invite earlier drinking, this one does not.
