(WA92-94 points) Philippe's 0.11-hectare of Bonnes-Mares lies just next to Lalou Bize-Leroy's and there is just one barrel of the 2012 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru this year. It has an intense bouquet of blackcurrant pastilles, black plum and cold stone on the nose that unfurls nicely in the glass to reveal blueberry scents. The palate is very lively and exuberant on the precocious entry - lots of energy here with candied red berry fruit laced with dark chocolate from the new wood on the entry. This is nicely controlled but packed full of flavor. - Neal Martin
