Supple, fleshy and alluringly sweet, with intense red fruit flavors coating the palate. Smooth, seamless and concentrated but also lively, with velvety tannins giving shape to the long, spice-accented finish. -- Josh Raynolds

The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape is another beautiful vintage here, and it offers classic kirsch, blackberry, roasted meats and toasted spice to go with a medium to full-bodied, ripe, layered and seamless style. The tannin here builds on the palate, but is fine and polished. Give this another year or two and enjoy bottles through 2027. - Jeb Dunnuck

Picks up extra notes of Turkish coffee and roasted juniper...   This is well-built, with a strong ganache frame and a racy graphite spine that drives through the core of plum sauce, melted fig and blackberry preserve flavors.
