Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru from Louis Latour has a relatively sophisticated bouquet with fine delineation and poise: redcurrant, wild strawberry and plenty of mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with a spicy, white pepper and stem ginger-tinged entry. There is fine delineation and harmony with a structured finish that could do with just a little more length. I have been critical of Louis Latour's 2012s, yet this is a pleasurable contribution to the vintage...more please!- NM
