This is unusually expressive for young Chambertin with its markedly menthol-infused nose of earth, game, underbrush and dark berry fruit scents. There is good richness, size, weight and density to the powerful and intensely mineral-driven big-bodied flavors that possess a lovely sense of underlying tension on the mouth coating, austere and ultra-serious finish. This is very, very solidly structured so note well that it's going to require a lot of patience.
