The 2012 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Embrazées has a very refined, tensile, mineral-driven bouquet that is focused and sophisticated, yet is only just beginning to show what it can do. The palate is very well balanced with a strong saline character on the entry, bitter lemon and fresh pear following after, the oak present but not too domineering, allowing the finish to express the mineralité of the soils.
