(WA90-92 points) The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Coeur de Roy comes from Bernard Dugat’s vines planted in 1910, raised in 60% new oak with 70% whole cluster fruit. It has a rather strict, taciturn bouquet at the moment, but the mineralite is tangible underneath and will flourish with bottle age. The palate is medium-bodied with fine acidity and abundant pure dark cherry and blueberry notes, segueing into a tense, wonderfully poised finish. This is very fine. - Neal Martin
