(90-93) A background application of wood frames the very ripe aromas of cassis, black cherry, earth and a touch of the sauvage. There is a lush and opulent mouth feel to the concentrated and palate coating medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent phenolic maturity and real drive on the moderately structured, balanced and impressively long finish. This isn't as powerful as the Lavaut but it's slightly finer.

Though dense and tightly wound, this harmonious red is expressive, with cherry, strawberry, mineral and earth flavors backed by a firm structure, lingering with echoes of mineral and spice. Best from 2019 through 2032. 5 cases imported. — BS
