Lovely perfume of pear, apple, spices and metallic minerality, complicated by a medicinal nuance. Juicy, spicy and light on its feet, offering a compelling combination of sweetness (especially for Corton-Charlemagne!) and lively gingery perfume. Surprisingly easy to taste today. Finishes very lively, polished and long, with lovely class. Not at all thick but not austere either. A beauty in the making. (ST96-93)

This also has that phenolic character of olive oil hints along with relatively strong reduction that renders the fruit impossible to read. There is reduction in the mouth as well though there is good vibrancy to the exceptionally rich and voluminous flavors that evidence plenty of muscle and minerality on the saline, clean and dry finish. While quite awkward today my predicted range assumes that it will harmonize in due time as the requisite concentration and ripeness levels are present to allow it to do so. 2019+ (BH93-91)

Jancis Robinson - Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, January 2014
Intense, mildly oaky citrus balanced by a gentle creamy layer. Leaner than I expected on the palate: tight, fresh and a long chalky, mineral finish. 17.5/20 (JH)
