(92+) The 2012 Grande Montagne has really turned out beautifully, for despite this wine being produced from some of the very youngest vines at the domaine (twenty-five years of age), the short crop has given this wine real depth and dimension. The lovely bouquet is a mix of apple, pear, pastry cream, chalky soil tones, apple blossoms and a touch of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and nicely reserved on the attack, with a fine core, excellent acidity and focus, good balance and lovely length and grip on the finish. Good juice by any stretch of the imagination. (Drink between 2016-2035)
