89+ The 2012 Morey villages is another really pretty and sappy example of the vintage, wafting from the glass in a mélange of red and black cherries, a touch of fresh herbs, coffee, woodsmoke, gamebirds and a lovely base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, pure and nicely transparent, with a good core, lovely balance, fine focus and very good length and grip on the suavely tannic finish. Really a lovely bottle in the making.
