There is a mildly exotic character to the ripe and very fresh nose that offers up notes of lychee nut, pear, dried apricot and acacia blossom. The energetic and well-detailed medium weight flavors possess that beguiling quality of underlying tension that adds a real sense of lift to the mineral-inflected, intense and lingering finish where a very mild touch of sweetness can be discerned. Most vintages of this wine require a few years of bottle age before they can be enjoyed but the 2012 version should be approachable, and enjoyable, young if desired. Outstanding ♥
