jamessuckling.com, March 2015

Aromas of tar, smoked meat and dried fruits verging on raisins. Very complex and thought-provoking. It's full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Lots of black pepper and dark fruits. Very structured...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2015

From a ten hectare vineyard, the 2012 Roccamonfina Terra di Lavoro touches on many of the glory points that made this such an important cult wine for Campania. Although 2012 was a hot vintage, this wine shows an...

Galardi is a family-owned estate formed by four cousins in 1991. The territory covers a volcanic soil of great potential sloping down to the sea. With the family’s commitment to the transformation of the vineyard and cellar practices, the estate produced its first fruit with the harvest of 1993. The result is a wine that, despite its youth, was already showing on its debut all the expressive potential of a great wine. 1994 marks the definitive birth of “Terra di Lavoro".

Galardi "Terra di Lavoro" is a wine of great structure and prestige. The blend of Aglianico (80%) and Piedirosso (20%) is aged in new oak barrels for twelve months. Since 1994, attention of experts and the public steadily grown. Enthusiastic ratings have come from Robert Parker, Daniel Thomases, James Suckling and Stephen Tanzer, along with kudos in Italy from Gambero Rosso, the Italian Sommelier Association, L'Espresso, Alessandro Masnaghetti , Luca Maroni and Luigi Veronelli, who has repeatedly ranked the Terra di Lavoro the best Italian wines ever.
