This wine is young, still promising, and although approachable now promises to evolve easily for 15 or more years. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is another exuberant, full-throttle style of Cabernet Sauvignon, showing slightly more reserved and coiled characteristics, the wine is full-bodied, has an opaque purple color, beautiful notes of mulberry, blackcurrants, graphite and spice. It's big (15.4% alcohol), but that's well-concealed beneath the lavish fruit and rather large structure of this full-bodied wine. This is impressive wine that can be approached now, but will be better in 3-5 years of cellaring and keep for 20-25+ years. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
