Sweet oak may take a prominent position here, but the wine is not at all stingy with ripe-cherry fruit, and the two components work hand-in-hand in a most comfortable alliance. This is a full-bodied Pinot Noir, yet it does not run headlong to unrestrained ripeness, and, while tasty and fairly direct, it shows early signs of complexity and promises more to come if allowed to grow for even another two or three years.
