Spice, plums, earth, underbrush and some herbal undertones all show from the 2013 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard. It hits the palate with solid amounts of ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit, plenty of texture and a good, not great, finish. All from clone 115, completely destemmed and aged 20 months in 40% new French oak, drink this outstanding Pinot Noir over the coming 5-7 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

The nose is bright and vibrant, with notes of red cherry, raspberry, cranberry, mint leaves and just a touch of oak influence. On the palate there is lively acidity that bodes well for aging and pairing with fall cuisine. The wine glides across your mouth and has a long persistent finish. This is a classic Central Coast Pinot from a tremendous vineyard and this wine ought to appeal to both Burgundy aficionados and CA enthusiasts. Drink now with some air and over the next 5-7 years.
