This wine is textured and tight with delicious, refreshing acidity that is softened by a round vanilla edge. It is still young, still developing its balance and rich, honeyed fruit character. Drink this rich and stylish wine from 2017.

A markedly floral nose displays top notes of honeysuckle, citrus, wet stone, iodine and spice. The intense and beautifully well-delineated middle weight flavors exhibit plenty of citrus character on the dry, clean and balanced finish. 2018+

The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons is raised in 20% to 25%, mainly used oak. It has an attractive nose, the wood element nicely integrated – almond and coconut scents gently lifting the citric fruit. The palate is smooth and rounded on the entry, touches of dried honey and a dash of spice merging into more citrus notes toward the feminine finish. I can see this being a real punter-friendly Chablis. - Neal Martin
