A recent bottle of ’13 Preuses from Dauvissat confirms that his Preuses is on the same level as the Les Clos. There is a beautiful lemony fruit with hints of oyster shell, coconut water, and a pleasantly creamy depth, with just a hint of exotic spice - perhaps a bit of botrytis. The texture is lively with a wonderfully incisive acidity, but there is enough concentration to keep this in exquisite balance and lead to a lingering finish. This bottle exceeded my expectations for the vintage and should continue to age well.
