(BH88-91 points) There is enough reduction to flatten the nose but the underlying fruit does appear to be ripe. In the same fashion as the Chambolle villages this possesses a refined mouth feel along with plenty of punch on the medium-bodied flavors that deliver notably better depth and length on the delicious and well-balanced finale. A quality Vosne villages.

(WA89-91 points) The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Village has a delicate red cherry, bergamot and strawberry-scented bouquet that gently unfolds but never gets carried away. The palate is well balanced with confit-like red berry fruit, strawberry jam and boysenberry, revealing satisfying weight on the finish. This has very good potential for a Village Cru and comes strongly recommended for those who cannot afford the Grand Crus. - Neal Martin

The 2013 Vosne AC was showing every bit as fine as the excellent Chambolle, offering up a beautifully red fruity bouquet of raspberries, cherries, Vosne spices, dark soil tones, woodsmoke, a touch of nutskin and just a hint of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure, with plenty of sappiness to come at the core, fine tannins and a long, tangy and beautifully focused finish. Lovely juice.
