(WA88-90 points) The 2013 Meursault Villages has an appealing bouquet with straightforward apple blossom and citrus aromas. The palate is well balanced with impressive weight in the mouth, a keen thread of acidity and pleasant, orange zest and hazelnut notes on the rather conservative finish. Satisfactory if not remarkable. - Neal Martin

The... 90+ Dominique Lafon’s 2013 Meursault AC was also a bit of a challenge to get through its malo, as this too was racked up into tank to finish and then returned to cask once the malolactic fermentation was completed. The wine is always one of the most elegant renditions of Meursault villages produced and in the inherently elegant vintage of 2013, this is a marvelous combination. The lovely bouquet offers up scents of apple, pear, chalky, almost salty soil tones, hazelnuts and spring flowers. On the palate the wine is fullish, long and intensely flavored, with a good core, bright acids and lovely focus and grip on the long and almost silky finish. A lovely wine in the making.
