(JG91-92+ points) The 2013 Murgers was the first wine in the line that had not yet been racked, and it was a touch reduced at the time of my visit, but its ultimate quality was self-evident. With a bit of coaxing, the nose offers up scents of cherries, pomegranate, nutskin, gamebirds, fresh herb tones, lovely soil nuances and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and quite soil-driven in personality, with ripe tannins, excellent focus and balance and a long, tangy and still quite primary finish. (Drink between 2023-2060)
