(BH89-91 points) Here the nose plays right on the edge of exoticism with its notes of fresh white and yellow orchard fruit, in particular white peach, along with acacia blossom and jasmine hints. There is a really lovely texture to the bright, intense and delicious medium weight flavors that exudes a fine bead of minerality onto the sappy, balanced and lingering finale.

91+ The 2013 Puligny villages is excellent, wafting from the glass in a refined blend of apple, white peach, a lovely base of limestone, orange zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and exudes a nice sense of reserve out of the blocks, with a lovely core, bright acids, fine focus and grip and a long, suave and nicely structured finish. This wine will be accessible fairly early, but I would definitely keep it in the cellar for the next five years and really let its secondary layers of complexity emerge fully. Classy villages, but that is always the case at Domaine Leflaive!

(WA89-91 points) The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet Village, which sees around 15% new oak, has a fragrant bouquet: apple blossom, touches of peach and yellow plum, quite complex for a village cru. The palate is fresh and malic on the entry with a keen line of acidity. Linear and correct with a slightly abrupt but delineated finish. Very fine. - Neal Martin
