(JG92-93+ points) The 2013 Petite Chapelle was just a touch reduced at the time of my visit, but with a bit of coaxing, offers up a very good nose of red and black cherries, cocoa, gamebirds, lovely soil tones, smoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and shows off lovely mid-palate depth, with lovely transparency, fine-grained tannins and a long, tangy and impressive finish. This is more reserved today than any of the other premier crus in the Rossignol cellars, which I take to be a very good sign for its ultimate longevity and quality. Lovely juice. (Drink between 2022-2050)
