Once again there is just enough reduction present that this would definitely benefit from a quick aeration, especially if you plan to open one upon release. The intense and racy flavors are quite restrained and focused with plenty of minerality adding an even greater sense of lift on the sappy and wonderfully long finish. This is both longer and finer than the Caillerets and the natural class of a fine Puligny is one display.

Light yellow. Peach and pungent high-toned spices on the nose, accented by white pepper. Boasts serious palate presence for the vintage, offering very dry, soil-driven flavors of menthol, white pepper, white flowers and crushed stone. Not a fruity style. -- Stephen Tanzer
