Tannic and imposing, the Jack Robert's Run shows the more savory, structured side of Syrah. Dark blue and black-fleshed fruits, smoke and lavender find support in beams of salinity that give the wine much of its energy. A closing flourish of floral and savory notes rounds things out in style. The only thing the 2013 needs is time. This is yet another superb and delicious wine from the team at DuMOL.
