This delivers a slightly deeper ruby colour than many in the vintage. Grilled oak on the nose, with cassis and blueberry fruit, and touches of oyster shell and salted cracker. Plenty of charm, this is ready to drink, no need to cellar any longer, but no need to rush to drink up. Unusual blend, with high levels of Cabernet Sauvignon, and it's an impressive effort. Michel Rolland first year as consultant, and first year with Frederic Faye as director. Harvest October 1 to 15. Have tasted this twice over the past few months and it has stood out both times.
