The Fontaine family’s Vergers has turned out beautifully in the 2013 vintage, as the wine offers up a bright and very classic bouquet of pear, apple, lemon, complex, chalky soil tones, citrus zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nicely reserved in personality, with a rock solid core, outstanding soil signature, fine cut and nascent complexity and a very long, racy and perfectly focused finish. This is a dynamite bottle of Chassagne premier cru!
