Reticent but pure, vibrant aromas of red cherry, raspberry, licorice and aromatic spices. At once supple and bright, with tart red berry flavors complicated by spicy herbs and flowers. A first bottle of this wine was a bit chocolatey and much more sullen; this one is altogether more succulent and perfumed but a firm spine of tannins calls for patience.
