Leitz's green-yellow 2013 Rudesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling Trocken Ehrenfels from the Ehrenfels parcel offers a precise, fresh, intense and elegant (though still somewhat yeasty) aroma of limes, leafs, grapefruit and dusty/flinty stones. Medium-bodied yet intense and long, this is a not too powerful, indeed very well-balanced and elegant Riesling for a long run but it does not hurt you if you taste this mineral-laced, piquant and stimulating salty wine right now. Just keep in mind that Riesling can shut down again soon and remains so for a couple of years before it starts its high-altitude flight. - Stephan Reinhardt
