Very fresh and powerful on the palate with layers of ripe cherry, tar, vanilla and earth that linger well after the finish. Drinking well now, this is somewhere between old world and new world with its ripe primary fruit and mildly tannic finish, but will become far more elegant, complex and beautiful with additional time in bottle.
