In contrast to the expressiveness of most of the prior wines in the range this is notably more restrained with its lower register aromas of plum, dark berries and earth nuances. There is fine mid-palate concentration to the solidly structured yet sleek middle weight flavors that deliver fine length on the slightly warm finish. Once again there isn’t quite the overall depth of the Aubaine at present but my score assumes that more will develop based on the quality of the underlying material. 2020+

A more restrained style from Brian Loring, this conveys aromas of plump blackberry and plums surrounding a line of licorice. The palate is a bit thicker, with black cherry flavors lifted by bergamot-like citrus skins and chopped herbs.
