Decanter, December 2021

The Chardonnays are exclusively sourced from grands crus of the Côte des Blancs and come from the villages of Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger, and Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger. In the purest house style, this 2013 shows an...

jamessuckling.com, January 2022

This is really delicious and soft with ultra-fine bubbles and a creamy texture. The flavors are subtle with cooked apple, pear and pie crust. Medium-bodied. Fresh and delicious. So subtle. Drink now.

Wine Enthusiast, December 2020

Crisp apples and tight minerality come together in a satisfyingly ripe wine. It is young, showing its fruity side and only just moving to its future complexity. But this will be a fine, structured Champagne. Drink from...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, March 2021

Pol Roger's newly released 2013 Brut Blanc de Blancs is very appealing, unwinding in the glass with scents of crisp orchard fruit, citrus zest, sourdough bread, pastry cream and almonds. Medium to full-bodied, taut and...

Wine Spectator, December 2021

This expressive blanc de blancs indulges the palate with its creamy, lightly plush texture and bright and juicy acidity, a lovely canvas for aromas and flavors of ripe pineapple and apricot fruit, elderflower, lemon curd...

Vinous, November 2021

The 2013 Blanc de Blancs is another terrific wine in this range from Pol Roger. It offers up a mélange of apricot, honey, chamomile, dried herbs. The ripeness of the Chardonnays comes through in burnished tropical accents...

Pol Roger is one of the oldest and most-distinguished luxury Champagne firms. Based in the heart of Epernay, it was established in 1849 and remains one of the few family-owned, grande-marquee Champagne houses. Five generations have remained loyal to the firm’s essential values of excellence and independence, ensuring that each wine is treated as an impeccable ambassador to their 160 years of history.

Pol Roger has carved out one of the most flattering reputations in the select circle of the leading Champagne brands. A personal favorite of Sir Winston Churchill (who has the firm’s top cuvee named after him), Pol Roger champagne has also been the British Royal Family’s choice over the years.

The house grows more than half its grapes on 89 estate hectares and sources the rest from select growers. Their cellars extend below the Avenue de Champagne for over seven kilometers on two levels. The deeper cellar maintains a lower temperature for the wine to develop finer bubbles.

The Pol Roger portfolio includes a vintage brut, a non-vintage brut, a brut nature, a demi sec, a vintage rose, a blanc de blancs and the Sir Winston Churchill prestige cuvee.

The Brut Blanc de Blancs is exclusively made from Chardonnay grapes selected from the Grands Cru of the Cote des Blancs: Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize and Oger. Produced in limited quantities, this cuvee is aged for 7 to 9 years in the cellars before being released onto the market.
