Named for the fragrant herb that grows wild in this vineyard, the Helichrysum is crafted from 45 year old vines. It is given a 45 day fermentation and then aged in old Slavonian oak casks. It's very intense and promising, but all of its charms are still tightly wound up in tense tannins. Hints of exotic Asian spice overlay polished leather and sage blossom, with an energetic core of minerality underneath.
