The wines from the extremely hot drought year, 2014, were just bottled prior to my visit. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Altagracia is suppressed in the aromatics, which is due to recent bottling, but exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, outstanding ripeness, elegance and loads of blackcurrant fruit intermixed with dusty/loamy soil scents and spice. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. - Robert Parker

Deep purple shifting to red at rim. The aromas spring to life the moment the wine hits the glass, with notes of red and black fruit, fresh flowers, dark chocolate and spice that evolve wonderfully with air. This is full-bodied though it’s buoyed by zesty acidity that presents itself on the mid-palate. There’s a heavy presence of youthful tannins on the finish that suggest this could still use a few more years to be tamed. Cellar for 2-3 years and then enjoy over the next 15-20 years.
