All from the estate’s dry farmed vineyard which lies at an elevation between 700 and 1000 feet above sea level and is comprised of numerous terroirs and clones, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (34 months in 70% new French oak) offers a deep ruby/purple to go with an unctuous, sweetly fruited, opulent style. Blackberry jam, currants, toasted spice, herbs and licorice all emerge from the glass of this charming, nicely concentrated and full-bodied 2014 that checks all the right boxes. It’s certainly terrific today yet will cruise of 15 years or more.
