A blockbuster Mourvèdre is the 2014 Gratitude Olsen Brothers Vineyard, which incorporates 25% Grenache and 5% Syrah, all of which was cofermented with no destemming and aged 18 months in neutral demi-muids and puncheons. From a higher elevation site (1,400 feet) in the Yakima Valley, its deep purple color is followed by killer notes of blueberries, crushed rocks, Asian spices and exotic, peppery nuances. This full-bodied, seamless and impeccably balanced 2014 will keep for at least a decade. - Jeb Dunnuck

Dynamic and rich in personality, with blackberry, tobacco and green olive aromas and dense but polished flavors that move at a clip toward mineral-tinged tannins. Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah. Drink now through 2024. – TF

Wine Enthusiast, November 2017
This blend of 70% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache and 5% Syrah brings crushed flower, dried herb, plum, black pepper and red fruit aromas. The palate shows velvety red and black fruit flavors that feel pure and balanced.

Medicinal red cherry and red berries accented by menthol and dried rose on the very tight nose. The youthfully medicinal character carries through onto the palate, where the red berry and violet flavors are accented by herbs and pepper. Finishes firmly tannic and persistent but very backward and reserved. This wine may show more give when it's released next spring. -- Stephen Tanzer

Dark ruby from the core straight to the rim. Aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry mix with subtle notes of dark chocolate, tapenade, baking spice and a touch of crushed rocks on a compelling but sanguine nose. Wonderfully textured on the palate, a core of bright acidity beautifully matches the high-toned fruit, yielding a wine more about elegance than power. Long and graceful, this is a wonderful example of just how good a new-world Rhone blend can be. Ready to be enjoyed now and over the next 10+ years.
