Dave Phinney may be most widely known for his phenomenally successful Orin Swift Cellars, pioneering the so-called California Red, but his latest foray into Napa Valley is potentially his most ambitious: an ultra-low production Cabernet from one of Napa’s most historic old vineyards, G.B. Crane. Those are some high expectations to meet, but from the first vintage in 2012, each release of the Crane Assembly Cabernet has earned scores in the high 90s. We are very excited to secure some of these “magnificent wines” (Parker) sourced entirely from the legendary eight acre G.B. Crane Vineyard, as only 299 cases were produced in 2014. Awarded 97+ points from the Wine Advocate, the 2014 Crane Assembly Cabernet Sauvignon G.B. Crane Vineyard is a phenomenal Cab from one of California’s biggest stars, and with so little to go around, it’s an absolute must for collectors.
