This is so solid and structured. It’s bigger and better than most 2014s! What a wine. Full body with flavors of stones, dried apples and pears. Goes on for minutes. Yes man!

Wine Enthusiast, April 2017

This is a structured wine with its tight acidity and concentrated white and citrus fruits. Produced from a small parcel on the Chevalier estate, it is complex with its mineral texture, its touch of pepper and its fine...

TheWineCellarInsider.com,

WOW! Now we're talking. This attention seeking wine grabs you with all its crisp, fresh, polished, yellow citrus, flowers, lime and honeydew fruits. The blazing acidity cuts perfectly, leaving with a sensation of crushed...

Decanter,

The twist of clean minerality brings a smile. You are in the hands of experts here: citrus fruit and controlled sappy acidity - lovely persistency. A great wine - this estate is hitting it out of the park with reds and...

Just enough age to really showcase the ability that Chevalier white has to power through the years. Fleshy but precise white peach and green apple fruits. Now that it has a few years in bottle, the quince and white pepper...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2017

The 2014 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is a beautiful white Pessac-Léognan. It offers a very succinct and focused bouquet of dew-speckled Granny Smiths, then flint and wet limestone, certainly a more stony bouquet than overt...

Wine Spectator, March 2017

Gorgeous, with lemon chiffon, white peach, yellow plum and yellow apple fruit that has weight and cut, underscored with a long honeysuckle note and a streak of quinine. The finish sports some serious depth; this will be...

Domaine de Chevalier of the Pessac-Leognan appellation is classified as a Grand Cru Classe de Graves. The property belonged to the Ricard family from 1865 until it was purchased by its current owners, the Bernard family, in 1983. It is one of a very few Bordeaux estates to have kept its “domaine” title instead of using the the more popular “chateau” designation.

The estate covers a hundred hectares, of which 45 are under vine: 40 for the property’s red wines, and 5 for its whites. The vineyards are planted with 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot for the red wines, and 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon for the white wines. Soils are dark sand and fine white gravel.

Domaine de Chevalier has been run since acquisition by Olivier Bernard, who perpetuates that spirit of balance and the constant drive for perfection which have been the hallmark of their outstanding wines. The flagship red belongs to the elite of the great classified growths of Bordeaux, while the white is recognized as one of the world’s finest dry wines. The domaine also produces red and white second wines under the Esprit de Chevalier label, which are made from the estate’s young vines.
