While Roty's 2014 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is far from maturity, it's surprisingly approachable today, wafting from the glass with a deep bouquet of wild berries and plums mingled with hints of licorice and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, layered and seamless, it's a deep, nicely concentrated wine with polished tannins, lively acids and a long, sapid finish. It's finer-boned than the richer, more muscular Charmes. - William Kelley
