(WA93-95 points) The 2014 Montrachet Grand Cru (which incidentally Jacques was thinking about two cuvées from his two parcels) has a refined bouquet with lovely yellow flower and mineral scents that unfurl from the glass. This shows its class. The palate is very well balanced with a keen thread of acidity, hints of white peach and citrus lemon, very harmonious with an almost understated finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a very classy Montrachet. - Neal Martin

(BH92-94 points) Here too the nose is presently dominated by reduction and wood though the fruit does seem ripe. By contrast there is solid vivacity to the big-bodied but not massive flavors that deliver impressive length on the harmonious and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is not a super powerful Montrachet but I very much like the way the intensity builds from the mid-palate on back to the explosive finale. In sum this is a Montrachet of restraint, at least at present.
