Very floral with hot stones and spearmint undertones. Full-bodied, silky and juicy with orange peel and spices. Very intense young wine. Better in 2020 but already fascinating to taste. Fantastic wine from here.

Therefore, I did not score it and crossed my fingers. Well, I am glad I ignored those misfiring bottles, because it has blossomed into a fine Fronsac. It offers attractive blackberry, wild strawberry, dried apricot and crushed violets scents on the nose that seem to build in intensity but wisely never go over the top. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, plenty of red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit; lovely balance with a supple and detailed finish that has superb mineralité. Check out this great Fronsac wine. It's a little gem. - Neal Martin

The nose is fresh and lively with solid nucleus of pure red and black fruit, new leather, cracked stone and a touch of dust. The palate closely echoes the nose with the savory elements splitting the balance with the fruit. This is exceptionally well-balanced, with surprising precision, a lithe mouthfeel, fine tannins and a charming finish. Though enjoyable now this will continue to improve for the next 2-3 years and provide a decade plus of good drinking.
