This is a traditional red with strawberry leaves, lemon rind and wet earth. Very aromatic. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a fruity, chocolate and walnut character. Always refined yet powerful. Better in 2022.

A wine of precision, tension and energy, the 2014 exudes class. Hints of white pepper and cranberry add further brightness as the wine gradually opens up. The 2014 has become more polished and finessed over the last two years than it was from barrel. Today, it is sublime. -- Antonio Galloni

The palate is well structured, a solid backbone here that supports the layers of spicy blackberry and wild strawberry fruit. This is a Pomerol whereby the more I get to know it, the more I fall for its charms and appreciate that tension and energy on the finish. There is a real flourish to this Pomerol that surpasses its showing from barrel.- NM

Has a slightly brambly feel overall, delivering a tug of dark earth through the finish that imparts muscle. Energetic, and will cellar well. Best from 2020 through 2030. 2,083 cases made. — JM
