From one of the larger of the great grands crus of Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Echézeaux, this is a dark, structured wine. It has power and juicy acidity that drive its black plum and berry fruit flavors. A dry core of tannins promises many years of maturing. Drink from 2026. ROGER VOSS

The moderate wood this displayed from barrel has been almost completely integrated and easily allows the overtly spicy mixture of various red berry fruit scents that are generously laced with tea, lilac, violet and sandalwood wisps to be appreciated. There is fine concentration to the powerful, focused and sleekly muscular flavors that also coat the palate with dry extract that also serves to buffer the firm tannic spine on the balanced and impressively long finale. This manages to be at once serious yet seductive and I particularly like the sophisticated mouth feel. Note that while still very young this should drink reasonably well early on. 2026+
