jamessuckling.com, July 2022

Plenty of biscuit, pie crust, lemon pie, praline and hazelnut, as well as hints of toffee, cream and salted butter. Vibrant and sharp, but with lovely butter and brioche character and tight bubbles. So delicious...

View From The Cellar, September 2021

The 2014 Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs Brut Millésime is composed entirely from estate-owned vineyards in the grand cru village of Avize. One quarter of the vins clairs for this bottling were barrel-fermented and aged in...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, September 2021

Disgorged with just over seven grams per liter dosage, Roederer's 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs is showing brilliantly, wafting from the glass with aromas of citrus oil, orchard fruit, freshly baked bread and white flowers...

Wine & Spirits, December 2021

The texture of this wine is luscious and smooth, completely saturating the taste with notes of cream and an oyster-shell complexity, the scent of wet limestone being cut. It’s mouthwatering, with the earthiness for escargots.

Wine Spectator, November 2021

A graceful Champagne, with vivid acidity creating a mouthwatering frame for delicately-meshed flavors of ripe yellow plum and melon, preserved lemon and salty mineral. There's a light, creamy plushness to the mousse...

Vinous, November 2021

Roederer's 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs sizzles with tension and energy. Citrus, white flowers, crushed rocks and white pepper race across the palate. Most of the attention at Roederer falls to other wines, most notable the...

In 1845, at a time when majority of winemakers were buying the grapes rather than cultivating their own, Louis Roederer took a visionary approach. Wanting to master every aspect of the wine’s creation, he acquired several Grand Cru vineyards in Verzenay. Since then, every Louis Roederer vintage originates exclusively from their own vines. Its tete-de-cuvee, Louis Roederer Cristal, is among the finest Champagnes in the world.

The estate, which originally comprised 100 hectares acquired in 1850, now extends over 240 hectares, carefully chosen from the best terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, the Cote des Blancs, and the Vallee de la Marne. The estate cultivates 3 traditional grape varieties: Chardonnay for its minerality, finesse, and elegance; Pinot Noir’s solid constitution which adds structure to the blends and prepares the wine for aging; and Pinot Meunier whose adaptability brings harmony and softness to certain cuvees.

The Louis Roederer House has remained an independent, family-owned company and is now managed by Frederic Rouzaud, who represents the seventh generation of the lineage.
