The 2014 Lune d'Argent from Clos des Lunes, from the lieu-dit of "Caplane" near the town of Sauternes, has a light grassy bouquet with Granny Smith apples and fresh pear. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry with a fine line of acidity, just a hint of peach surfacing towards the poised and surprisingly saline, marine-influenced finish. Perhaps the best of the three Clos des Lunes releases in 2014. - Neal Martin
