There's a wondrously savory nose on this bottling from a longtime grower in the region, with aromas of anise, crushed marjoram, soy, purple flowers and gravel. The light but complex character carries into the palate, where tart red fruits meet with roasted fennel, cracked pepper and spicy floral elements.

Spice-accented red berries and rose pastille on the fragrant nose. Sappy, subtly sweet raspberry and cherry flavors are brightened by jolt of juicy acidity and pick up a cola note with air. Light ruby. A tad shy on the nose at first, with a bit of air this begins to deliver a medley of ripe red berry and plum aromas complemented by baking spice, stone and slight floral trace. The palate is exquisitely soft... Light ruby. A tad shy on the nose at first, with a bit of air this begins to deliver a medley of ripe red berry and plum aromas complemented by baking spice, stone and slight floral trace. The palate is exquisitely soft and round with silky tannins and refreshing acidity, while the red fruit is enhanced with a kiss of orange zest. Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.
