93+ The 2014 Haardter Burgergarten Riesling Breumel in den Mauern GG displays a deep, intense, concentrated, and mineral bouquet of ripe stone fruit and wet stones. Full-bodied, very elegant and mineral on the palate, this is another quiet and expressive character of the MC range, and it is surely the ripest, densest, most juicy and sensual Riesling of the range; the wine is neither heavy nor broad. Its mineral expression comes through in the long and complex finish, which reveals a great dry Pfalz Riesling with a coolish character. Less racy than the wines from Forst or Deidesheim, this is a rather round, discreet, and elegant Riesling full of depth and tension. The wine will be renamed Bürgergarten im Breumel from the 2015 vintage onwards again (like before in the vintages 2003 and 2004). - Stephan Reinhardt
