The 2014 Pibarnon Rosé is a very pretty wine that is stylishly light on its feet and yet packs lovely intensity of flavor. The bouquet hops from the glass in a mix of ripe peach, tangerine, chalky soil tones, a dollop of orange peel and a spicy topnote redolent of coriander seed. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and tightly-knit, with a good core and fine length and grip on the vibrant and still fairly primary finish. This will blossom beautifully with another year’s worth of bottle age and should keep very well.
