A whisper of wood can be found on the slightly more elegant nose that displays pure and airy red currant, floral, herbal tea and discreet spice nuances. There is also a bit more volume and richness as well as more evident minerality to the intense yet refined middle weight flavors, all wrapped in a well-balanced finish that displays a mild hint of youthful austerity. This is an unusually good 2014 Beaune 1er. 2024+
